Ukrainian artists and institutions are under unprecedented pressure, facing at worst occupation, bombardement, displacement and at the very least conditions of uncertain funding and domestic audiences with much diminished resources. At the same time, never has the soft power of culture been more important domestically and internationally than during a war for the nation’s remaining independence and continued existence.
This panel discussion will explore the various needs and possibilities of supporting artists and institutions both in Ukraine and in exile in Sweden.
